A couple of things to remember:
- These cakes are temperature sensitive. At cold temperatures the buttercream stiffens up (like butter in the fridge) and swirls will be hard to the touch. At room temperature they soften up. Butter, and butter substitutes, melt at a temperature of 32-35. So in warm temperatures (such as May-Sept in Israel) buttercream may be vulnerable to melting at an outdoor event.
- Dairy-free substitutes may have an aftertaste. We suggest chocolate, peanut butter or mocha flavoured buttercream if you are interested in a dairy-free option – these just taste better.
- Not all buttercream can be tinted colours. We will tint dairy vanilla buttercream to a variety of colours, by request. The other buttercreams retain the natural colour of the ingredients (such as chocolate, strawberry, lemon or peanut butter.)
